Saturday night in Portland got hot with the 100th day of straight riots. One rioter was hit with a Molotov when his friend was throwing it at police, but instead hit his own. The above picture depicts the hopes of the Democratic Party winning the election, and what happens when you hang out with people who grew up playing soccer.
Nearby friends were yelling at the man to drop on the ground and roll around, as some of his friends rushed to put him out. It was not clear how badly the rioter was injured, only that the burns were mostly to his lower extremities.
Portland Police Bureau and other agencies at the scene made more than 50 arrests, feeling empowered now that Federal Agents have deputized many of them and that the prosecutions will be going through Federal Prosecution instead of through Multnomah County which has been notoriously lenient in it’s charging of rioters.
With no let up in sight, the voters of Oregon need to make a statement in November by voting red down the ballot, saying that law and order is what we choose, not the day to day riots that have held much of Portland’s downtown hostage. With As many as 500 businesses choosing to leave Portland, not from Covid, but from the constant threat of looting and violence. The losses financially are in the tens of millions of dollars.
